So, this has been a busy couple of weeks. In the middle of getting ready for the Easter season, I decided to participate in “Let’s Bake A Difference” in Westlake Village. This is the fifth annual for this event, which raises money for cancer. I haven’t participated in this event in a few years. When they called me this year, I decided to do it again, even though I’ve been crazy busy with my business. It’s for a really good cause and always a lot of fun. I submitted my decorated cookies, cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies. I won FIRST place for my decorated cookies, SECOND place for most unique ingredient on a cupcake and SECOND place for best tasting cupcake.
Coming up this Saturday, is my Pop Up Shop for Easter. Be sure to come and pick up your delicious treats for Easter. Again, I’m partnering with Ware’s Dessert.
I’m wishing every one a Happy Easter!!
A lot goes into a business. Much more than I imagined. I have always loved to bake and have always wanted to turn it into a business. Not so much to make a million dollars, although that would be nice, but to do more of what makes me happy. I can only bake so much for my family. Now, with the business, I get to create and bake every day. I swear, I would do it all day long, every day, if I could. I love it that much.
The process of coming up with a name for my business was a long, long process. It took forever to some up with something unique. I decided on ML Sweets. It pretty much sums up my business. Designing my logo was another hurdle. I could have done something online myself, but really wanted something special. With that said, I am so in love with my new logo and business cards. These were done by the fabulous Elizabeth Thomas from Pretty Sweet Designs. She did an amazing job and I can't thank her enough.
